We thought that since Phoenix sleeps great and he is 28 months old, it was time to take the front off of his crib and make it into a toddler bed. And, what is a toddler bed without "Big Boy" bedding right? So... we purchased Disney Cars bedding set.
I will post a picture of his completed room after we put a few finishing touches in it.
However, his first evening was great. He did get up a few times the first few minutes, but once we shut his door he went into his bed and made himself comfy. He looks like he settled in well and we shall see how the rest of the night goes.

Phoenix gets his "Big Boy" Bedding
St. Patty's Day 2010

This morning I woke up and thought I would do something fun with Phoenix, so...
Green syrup on pancakes it is. Phoenix thought the green was funny. When he was washing his hands in the bathroom after eating he looked in the mirror and tried to take the green off of his face while smiling. He was too funny!
Time with Daddy

Since Mike hasn't had hours at work for a little while, we have been saving money by using our very own "Daddy Daycare." Mike has had a great time with his little boy. They play outside a ton, go for bike rides to the park and ice cream, and play with remote control cars! Once Mike has some work to do, he is gonna miss his little man.
Here are some pics of their daily adventures...

Our Little Boy Is Growing Up!
Today was Phoenix's 1st day in Miss Nichole's 2-year-old room! In this room they start with the basic educational learning. It was cute last week when I received Phoenix's name on a strip of paper that we are to practice tracing his name so that he can learn to recognize it.
Miss Nichole told me that in the 2-yr-old room they start the day off going over the calendar and placing a picture on the day. While doing this, Phoenix sat very still on the carpet listening intently. Phoenix then participated in different activity stations; painting, water table, etc. Following this, he went outside and played for 45 minutes. After the activities and eating lunch he slept for 75 minutes without a nuk on his cot with his favorite Transformers fleece blanket.
I am excited to see what the 2-year old room does for Phoenix. I think he will learn a lot and do fun and exciting things while learning. Phoenix sure is growing up!!!!
